Mallette Adoption Fund

Hi There!  We have teamed up with Gobena Coffee to raise funds for our Adoption.  $4 from every item purchased will go towards our adoption.  On top of that we have received a matching grant so that $4 becomes $8!  Thanks for your support and enjoy the fresh roasted coffee!

Have you heard our testimony?

Our journey towards adoption started several years ago. It has been a journey of ups and downs and unexpected turns. To be honest, the journey itself was unexpected, to us anyway. However, we are sure that none of this was unexpected to God.

A little over 10 years ago we gave birth to twin daughters. By the time the girls were two there was a growing desire for more children in our family. Over the next few years we experienced the hopeful joy of three pregnancies followed by the devastating pain of three miscarriages. After healing from the grief associated with miscarriage we began discussing adoption.

In 2011 we started the process to adopt independently (without the help of an adoption agency) from Uganda. We began the process and with the help of an Ugandan lawyer we had our dossier in over 5 baby homes/orphanages. We waited. Nothing happened. We received no referrals. We didn’t understand why, but God knew. A couple months later David’s mom was diagnosed with end stage lung cancer and would be requiring a lot of help from us. Then later that year my dad passed away unexpectedly followed by David’s mom passing away. We were thankful God knew what our future held and knew that we would not be able to provide the time, love and attention an adopted child would need in the midst of what we were going through.

Fast forward a couple years filled with grieving and then healing and we began talking and praying about adoption again. This time we decided to pursue adoption through China. We were matched with this beautiful girl at the end of October and are now in the final approval stages before traveling to get our daughter Ruth! We are so thankful for all the support we have been given along this journey. We are still in need of funds to complete our adoption process and money received from coffee sales will be used directly for adoption expenses.
